| Production Operator / Assembler (Small mechanical / electrical) Our client is a long established company located in the Northern Suburbs; they manufacture top of the range filtered water systems. Due to growth, this NEW position has become available to join their production assembly team. Overview: To assemble ‘under bench' water filtration units. Thi sis a factory based job. You must have previous production assembly experience of small mechanical / electrical units, and present with a stable employment history. Skills Set Essentials: • Mechanical aptitude (small mechanical parts) • An understanding of electrical wiring would be advantageous • Dexterity with hands and the use of hand tools and power tools • Brazing / soldering experience • Experience in a production / assembly environment • Excellent eye for detail • An understanding of Lean Manufacturing The Person: • Neat and tidy personal presentation • Reliability with a good work ethic • Team player • Goal orientated • Excellent communication / English skills • Be self motivated and work with minimal supervision • Must be able to follow production guidelines and safe practices of work Hours: • Monday to Thursday: 7.30am to 5pm. • Friday: 7.30am to 11.30am. (This includes 2 hours of overtime each week. There is No weekend work). Wages: • $18 per hour + Super, plus 2 hours of overtime each week paid at time / half. Wages review after 3 months.
