Technical Sales, Business Development Manager

EVP Solutions A Global leader and Specialist in their field, clients use their products to create custom solutions using a mix of hardware and software that is all integrated into one easy-to-use platform.  

The Company is experiencing growth and is looking for an experienced Technical Sales Manager / BDM to take ownership and develop the Australian market.   Reporting to the Director, the purpose of the role is to take responsibility for promoting and developing the Company’s products and capability in the marketplace by proactively calling on potential clients; identifying organic growth with existing client base and converting into Sales opportunities.  

You will have proven experience in both cold-calling and Account Management.  
Knowledge and experience with integrated use of telecommunications with information and communications technology will be highly regarded but is not essential.  

The person: You must have excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills, be proactive and know how to manage your time well.  

Responsibilities sneak peak:
  • Manage client relationships
  • Identify, strategize, develop and manage solutions that address business needs of customers
  • Generate new business through existing leads, source and secure new opportunities
  • Lead the Internal Team
  • Provide training to clients’ and new users
  Skill requirements:
  • A Tertiary Qualification in a Technical discipline is highly desirable
  • At least 5 years’ experience in one or more of the following areas: M2M, data communications, mobile business solutions, networking, business process and operations
  • Knowledge and experience with integrated use of telecommunications with information and communications technology will be highly regarded but is not essential
  • Technical knowledge of telecommunication services and solutions (preferred but not essential)
  The person:
  • Possess the ability to build and nurture relationships
  • Exceptional presentation skills
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Excellent ‘People Manager’ with a collaborative work style and commitment to get the job done
  • Effective negotiation skills
 Software: High proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

Hours:  9.00am to 5.00pm Salary range: $90,000 to $100,000 + Super (depending on skills and experience)

Direct reports: IT Support team X 2
