A highly regarded company based in Bundoora; installation of high quality custom made playground equipment for the likes of Councils, Parklands, Schools and Kinders; this role will suit a reliable Team Leader / Installer / Labourer.

This role will also suit the likes of a Carpenter, Landscaper or similar
that wants to diversify into a new area of work.

Heading up your own team, and at times coming together as part of a larger team, we are looking for an experienced, self motivated team member with good experience using Power and Hand Tools with the ability to read plans and specifications.  

Please note that this is a hands-on role.

This job requires travel to all sorts of interesting locations locally plus Victoria wide and on occasions travelling interstate (all costs are covered). Staff report to the factory in Bundoora then travel to each work site together in work vehicles.

You will be physically preparing the work site ready for the installation of Playground equipment and also be part of the installation team.  

Duties include but are not limited to:
  • Ability to read basic plans, instructions or specifications to determine work activities
  • Perform set up and clean up tasks at site
  • Manual demolition tasks as well as demolition using jackhammers and other power tools
  • Assisting with the unloading of various materials from vehicles
  • Lifting, moving and handling a wide range of playground components
  • Digging trenches, pits and similar (by hand or with mechanical device), shovelling soil and rubble
  • Assembly of prefabricated Playground equipment
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Site Supervisor
  Mandatory Skills:
  • Proficient in the use of Power Tools and Hand Tools
  • Manual Driver’s Licence
  • Construction Induction Card (Red or White Card)
  Preferred skills:
  • MR Truck Licence is highly advantageous
  • Ability to operate a Dingo Mini Digger and/or Mini Excavator an advantage but not mandatory
  • Working with Children’s Card (for the purpose of working on School sites)
  The person: 
  • Able to work as part of a team along with the ability to work independently
  • Able to follow instructions
  • Reliable and hardworking – be at work on time every day and not let the team down!
  • Have a good level of physical fitness – fit, strong and energetic – this role will not suit a person with back, knee or shoulder problems
  • A high level of accuracy with a good eye for detail
  • Good reading skills (for reading plans etc) and good verbal English skills
  • A motivated person who takes responsibility for their tasks
Hours: Start and finish times depend on the size of the job and the location. Some days you may need to report to work at, e.g. 6.00am or 6.30am and work until the job is completed whether that be 2.30pm or 5.00pm.

Salary: In the range of $70,000 to $80,000 + Super (negotiable on experience) with the potential to increase based on initiative and experience.
