Operations Manager - Racecourse Grange

australianunity Australian Unity is going through an exciting phase of innovative change with the commissioning of a brand new Aged Care Facility opening its doors in the coastal haven of Mornington in early March 2019.

Racecourse Grange will be a purpose built 120 bed Aged Care Facility that provides state of the art care including designated Care Companions to each resident.

Coupled with our Better Together model, residents will truly be able to partner with teams to create their own care plans, schedules and ensure that they are living their lives the way that they want to.

With the Better Together model and its purpose, the facility will not just be an Aged Care Facility; it will be the resident’s home and we are seeking the best talent to make this possible.

The role -The Operations Manager is responsible for the day to day operations of two residential aged care residences, Racecourse Grange and Peninsula Grange and the broader Peninsula Grange retirement village outside of ordinary operating hours.

This will be a job share position requiring 2 part time employees.The roster will be based on 4/3 model with 1 position being Monday to Thursday evenings and the other position  Friday evenings and Saturday and Sunday days.

The shifts are Monday to Friday 3.00pm to 10.00pm and Weekends 9.00am to 5.00pm.

What you will be doing –
  • responsible for the effective person-centered, compliant delivery and integration of a range of aged care services including Retirement Living and Residential Aged Care Services
  • Manage and lead our people in an integrated service environment that facilitates growth, innovation and satisfaction
  • Support and coach managers and staff to achieve continued professional growth and skill development
  • Ensure that the quality of care and services complies with Australia Unity Better Together Model, policies and processes procedures and results in resident, client, cares, family and staff satisfaction.
  •  Ensure that accreditation standards are maintained across the Aged Care residences
What we are looking for –
  • People leadership in a customer orientated and adaptive working environment
  • Ability to deal with pressure and work in a fast pace environment.
  • Tertiary qualifications in business or similar and/or minimum of three years equivalent management experience in similar role
  • Previous experience working in an aged care environment and with ACFI is highly desirable
