  • You will be working both on the road as well as from the desk and be responsible for creating opportunities to proactively source new business and strengthening existing exclusive association relationships
  • Take ownership for turning warm/hot  leads into sales opportunities through marketing strategies, client visits and phone based sales in order to reach sales targets
  • Maintain existing client relationships and gain new leads through participation and attendance at industry related events and function
  • Keep up to date with competition, competitive issues, products and trends within the market
  • Build and maintain strong individual and company relationships at all levels, including with underwriters and senior management


  • Well-established, large  Australian brokerage, undergoing continuous accelerated growth
  • Close-knit team environment in which you have regular contact to senior management
  • Constant support with on-going admin, placement, accounts, claims  and brokingsupport


  • An extensive background in business development in insurance or insurance broking
  • Experience working within a general insurance sales or broking environment
  • Polished and professional with strong interpersonal skills to build strong working relationships with stakeholders
  • Sales focused and target driven and commitment to achieving the best possible results
  • Strong customer focus (internal and external)
