Information Technology Services (ITS) are a community of professionals who provide information services to the whole of the university to support all IT activities within UNE.  We provide knowledge and leadership to support the academic, research and service activities of the University and are committed to building effective and lasting relationships with our clients and stakeholders.


About the role

Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, the Associate Director (Client Services) is responsible for IT Service Management for all activities related to the provision of client-facing ICT services across the University, including the IT Service Desk (for staff and students), Staff Desktop Support, Audio Visual Support and Computer Lab support.  The position is also responsible for controlling the service quality of the ICT environment via change and release management and for providing advice and recommendations to the Chief Information Officer on a range of issues impacting on and arising from their particular service area, to assist in UNE-wide IT decision making.


Skills & Experience

The successful candidate will have proficient oral and written communication skills and the ability to be sensitive to client needs and to develop warm client / stakeholder relationships.  We are looking for a dedicated and supportive leader who can also manage significant financial and material resources and be able to achieve effective outcomes in a complex university environment.  The ability to research, adapt and apply emerging technologies and standards and to understand the broader implications of such technology across the institution, will be essential.
