The Role

You will lead, coach and develop the Professional Risks team. You will drive a positive culture by providing outstanding leadership through role modelling, consistent coaching to strengthen skills and productivity including, team engagement and employee satisfaction.

You will provide a comprehensive and professional claims service with a focus on controlling and reducing the claims cost and life of claim whilst remaining focussed on claims handling expenses as well as a collaborative approach to goal achievement with key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Effectively implement agreed tools and strategies to manage claims cost, claims handling costs, legislative and Code requirements and life of claims.
  • Ensure that correct processes and procedures are followed consistently, efficiently and with quality outcomes
  • Determine the tasks for day to day operational activity and set clear goals that link to the strategy.
  • Build the team performance actively through regular team meetings and 1 on 1 time with each team member.
  • Provide feedback in a timely fashion.
  • Monitor individual / team and departmental results and manage performance.
  • Participate in the development of team strategies and ways we can achieve our team.

Skills & Experience

  • Extensive experience in a Claims environment
  • Demonstrated Leadership experience
  • Proven experience in driving the culture within the team that facilitates collaboration
