Ice Hockey Australia Limited is the official national governing body of ice hockey in Australia and is a member of the International Ice Hockey Federation. It was first established in 1908, making it one of the oldest national ice hockey associations in the world.

Being one of the fastest and most exciting sports in the world IHA continues to experience growth in membership throughout Australia.

IHA has an exciting Australian based opportunity for an individual who is organised, a self-starter, possesses great communication skills and loves the challenge of multi-tasking. You are someone who wants to work with good people and make a difference. You have experience in building successful, professional relationships and sport management and administration. You have a desire to bring that experience to a new challenge. 

The position calls for an individual who can demonstrate:

  • ability to develop a strongly cooperative & effective working relationship with both internal and external stakeholders. This would include an honorary Board of Directors, key personnel of Member Organisations many of whom are voluntary, Government departments, the Australian Sports Commission, the Australian Olympic committee, the International Ice Hockey Federation and member National Federations
  • Effective time management and scheduling to meet obligations
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft office
  • Previous experience with the sport management - desirable

General tasks include:

  • eSportsdesk member registration & statistical system
  • Electronic Banking involvement
  • Management of relevant Insurance Services
  • Knowledge and adherence to specific Sport Regulations
  • General assistant to Board Members & Portfolio Directors with supportive information
  • National Team documentation & procedures
  • IIHF International Transfer documentation
  • National Meetings
  • Membership enquiries
  • Corporate Records
  • Statutory requirements
  • Website and Social Media posts.

The position is Monday Friday, 8.30am 5.00pm (38 hours per week). Training, support and handover will be provided by the incumbent to the successful applicant. The location (within Australia) & remuneration is negotiable.
