CBD Fringe - East based, Start within 2 weeks, Must have good knowledge of Hardware, Applications and Business Workflows.

Our client has a large new service offering. This involves rolling out Hardware, Software, establishing partnerships with various external suppliers and coordination of various vendors to roll out a service that will involved installing and upgrading over 100 facilities across the country.

Whilst the first phase is underway and has create a pipeline of activities, the second phase will be to begin to enhance the functionality of the existing Infrastructure to broaden a product offering. 

This role is a 6 month contract that has potential to continue.  You will be the right hand of the Manager and assist to deliver the program. While administration is an aspect of this role and attention to detail is critical your role will be to take an active role in planning, Scheduling, establishing internal controls, reporting status updated and preparing readiness packs. This role will require excellent skills in working with many stakeholders and will be involved heavily in planning and coordination of implementation and deployment activities rolling out new infrastructure to multiple sites both in Melbourne and nationally. This will involve:

  • Involvement in Strategic discussions to enhacne the current services.
  • Working with Business Analysts to document future processes and impact to current activities and operations. 
  • Involvement in the planning activities
  • Capturing tasks within meetings
  • Actioning those tasks
  • Engagement with vendors and working with dozens of sites to coordinate deliveries, installations and access to sites
  • Managing the detailed planning and implementation tasks through to delivery

You will also support a Program Manager on a broad range of activities in conjunction with the Implementation tasks such as:

  • Support the Project Managers and assisting them in keeping on track.
  • Support the PM to prepare and create packs for the change board.
  • Develop and manage project plan and scheduling for projects;
  • Provide reporting as required by Project Manager;
  • Management of risk, issues and deliverables log;
  • Produce Progress Reports;
  • Perform project administrative activities;
  • Coordinate meetings and other events;

Essential Skills

  • Excellent communication skills written and verbal
  • Excellent knowledge of Logistics or 3PL Operations
  • Attention to detail
  • Want a blend of Coordination and Implementation experience as well as examples of initiatives you have driven autonomously.
  • Strong MS project
  • Knowledge of PM methodologies Prince 2 and then PMBOK
