About the Roles

The Principal Corporate Governance Officer provides specialist advice and manages the development, implementation, project management and reporting of corporate governance activities in line with best practice. These activities cover both internal and cluster-wide responsibilities to mitigate corporate risks, maintain appropriate business governance processes and ensure appropriate and cost effective outcomes.

The Principal Risk and Audit Officer reviews and maintains DPCs risk management framework ensuring the Departments risks are identified, measured, managed, monitored and reported. The role also manages the Departments Internal Audit function. It provides assurance to the DPC Executives and Audit and RiskCommittee on the adequacy of the Risk Management Framework, including polices and processes across the Department, and that these comply with best practice and relevant public sector policy.

What were the key dilemma(s) before you, how did you approach the matter and why, and what were the outcome(s)

Principal Risk and Audit Officer

  1. If the Department Secretary asked who should be on the Audit and Risk Committee, what would you advise them
  2. Describe how you would go about identifying the high and significant risks of an organisation and developing an audit plan.

Salary: Clerk Grade 11/12. Package includes base salary ($124,965- $144,521) plus superannuation and leave loading.

Our Commitment to Flexibility: At DPC we endeavour to make roles flexible. While this role is advertised as full time, we will consider requests to undertake the work on a flexible part-time or job share basis.
