$98,059 – $116,369 (ALB) + 9.5% superannuation

A new and exciting research intensive opportunity is available for a highly motivated research academic at the School of Public Health in the area of Epidemiology. As a Research Fellow, you will undertake high quality research in the area of perinatal epidemiology as part of an NHMRC project that will produce new evidence-based recommendations for inter-pregnancy intervals in high income countries.  You will actively coordinate project operations and undertake epidemiological analyses under the direction of the chief investigators within the School of Public Health.

Your new role

You will mostly:

  • Undertake epidemiological analysis working with expansive data sets
  • Write and prepare manuscripts for submission to peer-reviewed journals

You may also:

  • Monitor and manage project schedules and timelines
  • Develop and maintain study protocols, research ethics and data applications
  • Implement and coordinate a communication plan with key stakeholders
  • Supervise PhD students and oversee community reference groups

You will bring to the role

  • A doctoral qualification in epidemiology, biostatistics, public health, or medical research.
  • Advanced knowledge of statistics or biostatistics (generalised linear models)
  • Experience using statistical software for health, medical or epidemiological research and experience querying, analysing and linking large databases.
  • Demonstrated experience managing projects, timelines and communication plans.
