Your New Role

We have an exciting and highly rewarding opportunity for a driven Key Account Strategy Partner who has excelled in strategic or business consultancy roles and looking to broaden their horizons in sales and relationship management.

The successful candidate will join our high performing team working in our Melbourne or Sydney office and will report directly to our Head of Key Accounts.

In this newly created role, you will be responsible for engaging with our key broker groups to develop and execute strategies to create sustainable competitive advantage that grows and transforms their businesses. You will provide outstanding strategic analysis and direction to our key accounts which in turn, will drive the sales activity of AFG products and services and generate portfolio growth.

This dynamic and diverse role has hands-on, end-to-end responsibilities and will deliver impactful projects for a diverse range of broker groups. You will act as our clients trusted advisor and foster a strong, long-lasting relationship with our key accounts.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Undertake reviews and situational analysis to identify high quality, commercial solutions for our key accounts.
  • Utilise data, market analytics and technology to develop and execute strategies which help build organizational capability of our key accounts and drive their business growth.
  • Develop professional business relationships and provide a high level of customer service to key accounts at all times.
  • Drive AFG sales activities across key accounts, promoting cross-selling opportunities and the achievement of business volume growth targets.
  • Market and promote new and existing AFG products and services and contribute to AFGs growing footprint in the industry.
  • Understand competitors' products/services to enhance AFGsoffering and develop strategies for competitive advantage.
  • Aid with and ensure member compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with the negotiation and management of key account contracts and agreements.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of professional development and education sessions and business/industry training.
  • Actively recruit new strategic accounts to AFG, capitalizing on AFGs value proposition.

This role will be based in Sydney or Melbourne with regular travel to our other Australian offices as required.

Who Are You

Were looking for a self-starter who thrives on the challenge of delivering outstanding customer outcomes in a fast-paced environment. You will have extensive experience in asking the right questions, clearly defining challenges and proposing and implementing the right solutions.

You will possess demonstrated superior stakeholder relationship management with a strategy development background and a proven record in facilitating effective change towards successful business outcomes.

To be considered for this role you will be able to demonstrate:

  • Proven experience in business or strategy consultancy or in an analytically intensive field.
  • Ability to analyse complex business opportunities and develop commercially sound solutions with measurable improvements.
  • Excellent communication and consulting skills, including facilitation, negotiation and ability to influence outcomes.
  • A hands-on, collaborative and positive approach to work.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills with a customer and solution focused mindset.
  • Ability to work under pressure, be self-motivated, energetic and results driven.

Understanding and exposure to the finance broking industry would be a significant advantage but is not essential.
