A full time position is available in the Sheen Group Head Office for an Assistant/Junior Accountant/Bookkeeper. 

The role is based in the Burnley area (Richmond).

Your duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist in review/audit of franchise sites monthly reporting
  • Assist sites with preparation of monthly reporting - month end journals, reconciliation of accounts and resolve issues as required
  • General Ledger maintenance and monthly reporting of various Head Office Trust entities
  • Assist with accounts payable and receivable
  • Provide back up support for other Accountant's, including processing payroll
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of accounting procedures

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Accounting qualification
  • Proficiency using MYOB software
  • Previous experience in the smash repair or wider automotive industry will be highly regarded
  • Well-developed organisation and administrative skills, including strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritise and control own workload
  • Demonstrate effectiveness in contributing to a team, including the capacity to review and improve workplace practices
  • An ability to interact proactively with all levels of the organisation
  • Well-developed computer literacy skills with Microsoft Office suite and intermediate excel skills
  • Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Indicates through actions and decisions a sense of importance to get the job done; focuses on the most important things; takes actions to overcome obstacles and seek solutions
  • A positive attitude with an energised approach
