An exciting opportunity has arisen for an additional Apprenticeship Coach to join our team. If you have the passion for developing young people, this is your opportunity to take this to the next level.

Apprenticeship Coaches promote the concept of Group Training to potential host employers, job seekers and the community in general.
They are responsible for facilitating successful completions of an apprenticeship or traineeship in accordance with training contracts whilst adhering to government legislation and GTO standards.

As part of the team you will be required to carry out the following:

  • Coach apprentices and trainees to ensure they feel supported throughout their apprenticeship or traineeship;
  • Monitor Health and Safety standards of Hosts to ensure compliance with applicable health and safety laws, regulations and statutory obligations;
  • Assist apprentices or trainees when they require additional support in fulfilling the requirements of their training plan;
  • Liaise between the Host and apprentice/trainee to resolve any issues that may arise;
  • Working collaboratively with the HR Manager, assist in resolving apprentice/trainee employment issues;
  • Coordinate the scheduling and attendance of training with the appropriate RTO;
  • Promote the benefits of apprenticeships and traineeships to industry, key stakeholders, hosts and the community; and
  • Maintain all administrative documentation necessary to manage the apprentice or trainee in accordance with Employment Services Standards;

Ideally, to be successful in this role it would be desirable for you to have the following:

  • Completion of a trade qualification;
  • Sound knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety standards;
  • Completion of a Certificate IV or higher in Workplace Health and Safety
  • Experience within Employment Services;
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent collaboration and interpersonal skills with the ability to work in partnership with apprentices, trainees and Hosts.
  • Demonstrated experience in the delivery of excellent customer service and a commitment to a standard of excellence which results in business improvement;
  • Current knowledge of local labour market opportunities and local businesses needs;
  • Sound computer literacy skills encompassing word processing, spread-sheeting, database navigation and reporting, utilising appropriate corporate applications;
  • Well-developed self-management, organisational and administration skills;
  • Current "C" Driver Licence,
  • have or be able to obtain a Blue Card (working with Children Check);
  • White Card (Construction Induction); and
  • Passing a National Criminal History Check
