The Role

This role touches upon everything (figuratively and literally!). Whether it’s covering Front of House in a busy time, greeting our next function booking, rolling up your sleeves up to take deliveries, repurposing the giant delivery crates into miniature gardens, or finding that extra % of labour variance.

  • Oversee all aspects of Whitehouse events and functions;

  • Manage the look and feel of the venue

  • Previous experience in a similar role or at least 2 years in a supervisory role within Food & Beverage;
  • Experience across the breadth of key food & beverage functions including stock operations, rostering cash management, budgeting, strategic planning, analytical skills, front and back of house management, food safety (it all really!)
  • You will be a dynamic and motivated individual with an outgoing personality and great leadership skills, a strong work ethic that is contagious
  • You have a knack for driving revenue and bottom line profit with sound financial capabilities;
  • You have a 'hands on' approach with the ability to delegate and lead from the front;
  • Ability to build and manage strong relationships with clients, suppliers and regulatory bodies;
  • A comprehensive understanding of regulatory compliance across food, liquor and WHS;
  • Ability to act as Licensee and Chief Fire Warden for the venue.
  • Market savvy and up to date with current trends in food and beverage

  • A broad range of skills that you can apply and enhance the venue with e.g. You like to build stuff, you can grow green things, you are obsessive about the taste of coffee, you can do wood transfer, get the drift
  • Understanding and experience with events and marketing
  • Experience working in a youth focused (by youth we mean 18-25 years) venue.

What we can offer you

  • A unique opportunity to shape the look and feel of our venue
  • A fun, fast and driven environment with lots of potential for learning and growth
  • A chance to be a change maker – making a real difference
