What we do

We help governments, intelligence agencies and corporations find intelligence outcomes from their data.  Our software is delivered worldwide through direct sales and via our partnerships with IBM and others.

Our flagship software product, Sintelix, is an advanced text analytics tool which is one of the fastest, most accurate and highly configurable unstructured data processing systems on the market.  The company is enjoying a period of rapid sales growth at well above 100% a year.

The role

We are looking for exceptional Business Development Managers to expand our footprint in Sydney and Melbourne, one in each location.

As part of our team, you will maintain a shrewd understanding of our potential markets and identify, accesses and secures future customers.  Have a comprehensive understanding of our technology and capabilities so as to fully understand the customers needs and develop effective sales strategies.  Deliver a premium level of customer service and always responds to clients needs quickly and efficiently to help drive their business outcomes. 

Our clients include national and international governments, intelligence and security companies, as well as large corporate enterprises.

Specific Skills Required

  • 3+ years experience in a B2B focused Software Sales role
  • Experience and broad understanding of the Software sales market place (Major players, Sales Cycles, Subscriptions model etc)
  • Experience in selling and demonstrating complex IT solutions
  • Experience with both commercial and government clients
  • Able to manage multiple prospects and accounts at the same time
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder skills with ability to develop and maintain relationships across any industry
  • Must have excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • A track record of sales success with high energy and drive to win
  • Ability to travel with the scope to relocate interstate or overseas

Ideally the candidate would also have:

  • Experience working with data analytics tools or similarly complex software systems
  • Experience working with law enforcement, intelligence and military clients.
  • Experience with IBMs i2 suite or other intelligence tools
  • Experience managing others would be highly regarded
  • Current holder of security clearance

Responsibilities

Product Knowledge

  • Become fully versed with the Sintelix product, its components, capabilities & limitations.
  • Demonstrate and explain the product to prospective clients of different technical knowledge and understanding.
  • Awareness and understanding of the competition.
  • Understanding the qualities that make Sintelix a world leader and monitoring competition development.
  • Awareness and understanding of complimentary products for Sintelix.
  • Develop project ideas with clients based on a knowledge of the product and the services we offer.

Relationship Management & Business Development

  • Develop and maintain key strategic relationships.
  • Understand a clients pain points and be able to proposals as a response and show strong return on investment (ROI)
  • Work with Head of Sales to create, maintain and adapt a sales strategy for both local and global expansion.
  • Bring in new business opportunities, including through:
    • Own contacts
    • Existing customers
    • Tenders
    • Collaborative tenders
    • Strategic partnerships
  • Manage Channel Partners.

Communications

  • Provide frequent updates on the sales pipeline via the company CRM
  • Participate in regular sales meetings

Package

A package will be negotiated with the chosen candidate that is a reflection of previous success, their 30/60/90 day strategy, and compensating for closed deals.

If overseas placement is negotiated after an initial period in Australia, a reasonable package will be negotiated to recognised cost of moving and change of living expenses.
