The Role

The opportunity has arisen for a self-driven, highly motivated and enthusiastic Quality Officer to join our team in West Footscray, Victoria. The position will involve duties including, but not limited to:

  • Review analytical data produced within the laboratory for conformity and correctness,
  • Make recommendations and suggestions that may improve quality, productivity and safety in the department.
  • Ensure reporting instructions are correct
  • Arrange and monitor cross reading between instruments.
  • Perform Laboratory Management System database maintenance.
  • Identify systematic QC issues.
  • Provide technical advice as directed.
  • Perform equipment checks and calibrations.
  • Data entry,
  • Produce preliminary reports as directed
  • Assist in maintaining stock and materials essential for QAQC operations,
  • Assist in production where necessary.
  • Effective and proactive liaison with supervisors and managers,
  • Comply with all Intertek policies and procedures, including workplace health and safety, HR, IT, quality and production.
  • Other appropriate duties as requested by reporting line manager.

The ideal candidates will posses the following skills/qualifications

  • Sound relevant technical knowledge.
  • Sound relevant administration knowledge.
  • Sound knowledge of Intertek policies & procedures.
  • Understanding of quality processes.
  • Understanding of relevant software package.
  • Intermediate IT skills.
  • Interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Organisation and time management skills.
  • Ability to problem solve and trouble shoot in routine situations.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification,
  • Prior industry experience.
