Realise Enterprises, a Division of Brophy Family & Youth Services operates Tasty Plate Catering, a professional catering business providing workplace learning and support to people who have a disability.

Tasty Plate Catering is recognised for its unique environment, excellent customer service & approach to delivering great value, exciting & satisfying food. 

The Realise Enterprises Division is currently seeking applications for the position of Catering Manager from suitably qualified people  to oversee the production operations of Tasty Plate.

The primary components of this position involve running a commercial catering kitchen in line with the Tasty Plate Marketing Plan.  This involves the supervision of chefs, kitchen attendants, supported employees and ensuring the operations of the commercial kitchens conform to state & federal standards of health, hygiene & food safety.

Applicants will require:

  • A qualification equal to, but no less than Cook Level 5, Grade 4 and no less than 4 years experience in managing and operating a commercial catering business;
  • A capacity to deliver innovative & creative catering to a standard of excellence;
  • A commercial awareness, whereby the hospitality industry is understood and an appreciation of the factors that influence it's success;
  • Excellent organisational and management skills including experience in managing and operating a commercial kitchen which includes the supervision of others.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to demonstrate experience in liaising with a diverse range of people.
  • An ability to understand and work to the Realise Enterprises social model of disability and model these values daily;
  • A working knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation, regulations and other requirements in relation to the operation of a catering business;

The position is ongoing, with 6 month probation period.
