The Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) is a diverse and energetic organization that provides services to support the delivery of training, continuing professional development, and health policy and advocacy on behalf of more than 15,570 Fellows and 7000 Trainees, across Australia and New Zealand.

The RACP is responsible for the training and assessment of doctors who have completed their medical degree and hospital internship, and wish to practice as physicians or pediatricians in a certain field of medicine. The RACP offers 60 training pathways, which lead to the award of one of seven qualifications and allow for registration in 34 fields of specialty practice with the Medical Board of Australia, or nine vocational scopes of practice with the Medical Council of New Zealand.

The Role

This position is a key member of the P&BO Group, the purpose of the position is to provide strong administrative support and administrative control of projects.  This role provides administrative and project support to the Program Manager, Education Renewal Programs and the P&BO projects team members to support all project activities to ensure project success.

Main duties include but not limited to:

  • Maintain administrative control of projects including Project Control Group (PCG) meetings, scheduling tasks, preparing documents including agendas, correspondence, proposals, and reports, gathering data, drafting minutes and ensuring follow-up of actions, developing and maintaining communication lists, shared files and document circulation / version control.
  • Maintain project records and files to ensure accuracy of documentation and information
  • Assist the Education Renewal Program Manager and project teams in relevant activities to ensure project success

The Successful Candidate

  • At least one year project coordination experience
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including business writing and presentations
  • Demonstrated ability to build effective working relationships with a range of external and internal stakeholders
  • Ability to prioritise work, meet deadlines, managing a range of complex tasks in a changing work environment while maintaining strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with own and other teams
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • A commitment to professional client service
  • Proficient in MS Office
