The Highway Hotel

The Highway Hotel is looking for a self-driven, organised and analytical thinker to fill the role of a Causal Administration Assistant.  You would be joining the team at one of Adelaides busiest Hotel.  The role is at least two days a week and maybe some weekend work; hours are negotiable but would include early starts.

The role:

  • Providing assistance, support and back up for the Administration Manager
  • Banking on a daily basis, including a high volume of transaction
  • Data entry of sales
  • Investigating and reporting on sales and cash variances
  • Daily approval of staff hours for payroll
  • General hotel administration

Our ideal candidate will possess the following attributes:

  • Administration experience
  • Intermediate / Advanced MS Excel experience
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to show initiative
  • Some staff management experience
  • High volume cash handling experience
  • Basic accounts, finance experience
  • Exceptionally organised
  • Able to work unsupervised
  • Hospitality work is an advantage

This is an administrative support role that is an ideal fit for someone who enjoys challenges and likes to get the processes right the first time.
