Our College is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Director of Early Learning to provide leadership to our Early Learning Services collectively known as Kingdom Kids. The Director of Early Learning will also act as the Services Nominated Supervisor.

The Colleges services include our long day care centres Noah Centre at Springwood (3.5 5 year olds) and Kingdom Kids (15 months to 5 years) at Carbrook, and Outside of School Hour Care centres at Springwood and Carbrook. 

A successful Director of Early Learning will be a team builder and an innovative pedagogical leader.

Key Responsibilities

The successful applicant will be responsible for:

  • The overall administration and financial management of the Services;
  • In conjunction with the assigned Education Leader, oversee the development and implementation of developmental programs and ensure a high quality standard of care is provided to all children;
  • Ensuring the services adhere to all relevant regulations and statutory requirements including exceeding quality assurance requirements;
  • Ensuring the services policies, procedures and practices remain current and reflect industry best practice;
  • The recruitment, onboarding and development of staff and the development of a culture which aligns with that of the College;
  • Leading and overseeing the establishment and maintenance of effective communication systems with staff and parents;
  • Formulating and evaluating annual budgets in liaison with the Colleges Business Manager;
  • Overseeing the maintenance of the Services records; and

  • Demonstrated high level skills and knowledge as it relates to a leadership role within the Child Care industry
  • Outstanding relational and leadership skills including the ability to inspire others
  • Forward thinking and embracing of technology and change
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong investigative/problem solving skills and analytical skills with the ability to drive tasks to completion
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.

Selection Criteria

  • Experience in providing sensitive, confidential and complex support to senior management
  • Proven effective communication, consultative, interpersonal and negotiation skills appropriate to an environment of change and evolution
  • Experience in successfully co-ordinating and managing change  
  • Committed to continuous improvement and contributing to successful team outcomes
  • Be committed to their faith and engaged in drawing people into a life transforming relationship with Jesus Christ.

Mandatory Criteria

  • Hold a relevant Degree, a 3 or 4-year Early Childhood Education qualification, or an AQF Advanced Diploma.
  • First Aid Certificate
  • The applicant must have or be able to obtain prior to commencing work, a current Working with Children Blue Card
  • The applicant must hold a current open drivers licence.  
  • On appointment the applicant will also be required to acknowledge acceptance of the Colleges Statement of Beliefs and Staff Lifestyle Agreement.
