Our College is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Assistant Director to provide leadership in our Early Learning Services collectively known as Kingdom Kids.

The Colleges Early Learning Services include our long day care centres Noah Centre at Springwood (3.5 5 year olds) and Kingdom Kids (15 months to 5 years) at Carbrook and Outside of School Hour Care centres at Springwood and Carbrook. 

A successful Assistant Director of Early Learning will have excellent attention to detail and be a team builder.

Key Responsibilities

The successful applicant will be responsible for:

  • Leading the Services administration team including a best practice approach to records management;
  • Ensuring that the Services operations run in an efficient and effective manner;
  • Developing, implementing and evaluating daily care routines;
  • Developing, implementing and evaluating staff rosters, timesheets and leave applications;   
  • Working with the Director of Early Learning in ensuring the services adhere to all relevant regulations and statutory requirements including exceeding quality assurance requirements;
  • Developing and reviewing policies, procedures and practices that are adhered to and reflect industry best practice;
  • Assisting the Director of Early Learning with the recruitment, onboarding and development of staff and the development of a culture which aligns with that of the College;

  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong investigative/problem solving skills and analytical skills with the ability to drive tasks to completion
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.

Mandatory Criteria

  • Hold or be working towards receiving a relevant Degree, a 3 or 4-year Early Childhood Education qualification, or an AQF Advanced Diploma, or a Diploma in Childrens Services.
  • First Aid Certificate
  • The applicant must have or be able to obtain prior to commencing work, a current Working with Children Blue Card
  • The application must hold a current open drivers licence.
