Our College is seeking an ITD Assistant to commence in January 2019 at our Carbrook Campus.  

A successful ITD Assistant will be a team builder and model the Colleges values to other staff and students.

Key Responsibilities

The successful applicant will:

  • Demonstrate tolerance, maturity, patience and a capacity to self-organise and be adaptable in a busy environment
  • Effectively communicate with students, staff and other stakeholders in a way which reflects the Colleges values
  • Work within routines, methods and procedures


Typical duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Prepare, maintain, organise, set-up and dismantle equipment and materials as required
  • Dispose of waste material and maintain a clean and tidy workshop
  • Provide assistance to the ITD Learning Designer (Teacher) in workshops/classes as requested
  • Undertaking basic equipment repairs and maintenance such as tool sharpening
  • Undertake stock control and co-ordinate orders, including for equipment repairs
  • Contribute to the safety of the workshop by identifying hazards, assessing risks and taking appropriate measures to either eliminate or mitigate the risk.

  • Proven effective communication and interpersonal skills appropriate to an educational environment
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and contributing to successful student and team outcomes
  • Be committed to their faith and engaged in drawing people into a life transforming relationship with Jesus Christ.

Highly Desirable

  • Trade qualifications or equivalent knowledge and/or experience


  • The applicant must have or be able to obtain prior to commencing work, a current Working with Children Blue Card
  • The application must hold a current opens drivers licence.  


Employees may be required to work across both College campuses. This role is based at the Carbrook Campus.
