We have a vacancy for experienced professional to become Childcare Centre Manager in Wentworthville. This centre is well resourced and quite large, catering to a maximum of 46 children

The Opportunity As Childcare Centre Manager

Our vision is to offer the highest quality curriculum and care in the country. As a Childcare Centre Manager to work closely with Management & monitoring staff in dynamic team in implementing National Quality Framework & Quality Areas. You will play a key hands-on, emergent curriculum designed for the children in your care and building an environment where the children, families and staff thrive. You will be required to coach and develop your staff so that they can perform at their best. You will be passionate about providing excellent attention and care to families in the delivery of consistent high-quality education, care and learning. As the centre manager you will oversee the day to day operations of the centre. This position will best suit an engaging leader who is a strong communicator and will build genuine relationships with families and the broader community.

You will be part of a supportive leadership team that includes an off the floor assistant director and you will coach, support and mentor a team of professional educators. As part of your responsibilities you will also be expected to spend time in each room on a weekly basis modelling best practice and developing educators whilst ensuring children receive the best possible care.

You must have the following skills and abilities:

A completed Diploma in Children's Services or any Bachelor or Post Graduate degree with child care centre management experience

Previous experience as a Childcare Centre Manager In a long day care centre

Current Working with Children Check

Sound, practical working knowledge and implementation of the National Quality Framework and the Early Years Learning Framework

Good organisational skills

Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure

Computer proficiency

Working knowledge of the Education and Care Services National Law and Regulation

Sound knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework

Passion and ability to inspire, motivate and maintain a positive learning culture within the centre for children, for your families and for your Educator colleagues

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

directing and supervising child care workers

developing and implementing programs to enhance the physical, social, emotional and intellectual development of young children

providing care for children in before-school, after-school, day and vacation care centre

managing physical childcare facilities and ensuring all buildings and equipment are maintained

maintaining records and accounts for the child care centre

complying with government child care requirements and standards.

plan, organise, direct, control and coordinate the activities of childcare centres and services including physical and human resources.

developing and implementing programs to enhance the physical, social, emotional and intellectual development of young children

providing care for children in before-school, after-school, day, and vacation care centres

directing and supervising Child Carers in providing care and supervision for young children

ensuring the centre is a safe area for children, staff and visitors

complying with relevant government requirements and standards

liaising with parents

maintaining records and accounts for the centre

recruiting staff and coordinating professional development

Assist the Manager in all aspects of Centre operations

Supervise the programs and the quality of care the Centre provides

Ensure that the programs provided encompass all aspects of children development

Maintain and implement Centre policies and procedures

Maintain the Centres records

Identify and assist in meeting the training needs of team members

Ensure a high level of health & safety standards are maintained always

Provide leadership, support and guidance for Coordinators and Educators in the implementation of the National Quality Framework

Ensure that the educators comply with current requirements of the National Quality Framework, Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations

Supervise, monitor and evaluate educators in accordance with Wentworthville Early Learning Centre policies and procedures

Other duties will be allocated by the Director. These will be in accordance with the employee's range of skills, competence, training and /or experience.

The ideal candidate for this role will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a great work ethic and a friendly, creative, diligent, independent, self-motivated and enthusiastic nature.

The candidate must be hard working, organized, creative and passionate about working in LONG DAY CARE. He or she will be required to work in a high pressure/high turnover environment etc. Annual salary of $60,000.00 plus superannuation will be offered to the successful candidate.
