SPQR Holdings is a modern and diverse food manufacturing facility based in Windsor Gardens, South Australia, which prides itself as makers of Artisan food to a large number of wholesale and retail customers. We operate within a fast paced environment that offers a large variety of high quality products (ready-made meals, Savoury products, pastries, biscuits, gelato, breads and coffee) and we are always encouraging innovation and new ways to do things. SPQR is a small to medium sized operation (around 70 employees) that strives to deliver the Italian Experience for our consumers. An excellent opportunity has arisen to join our professional and energetic team in the capacity of Office Manager / Executive Assistant, with an immediate start. The role is a permanent position either part time or full time (depending upon the successful applicants desires and flexibility) and reports to the C.E.O. This is a diverse and fulfilling opportunity offering the successful applicant the opportunity for personal growth, independence, and a variety of tasks in a role that contributes greatly to the smooth running of the SPQR operation.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Office and General Admin Duties

  • Answering phone calls in a professional and friendly manner
  • Meeting and greeting all visitors to the office being the first point of contact and creating a great first impression for visitors, customers, and suppliers.
  • Collection and distribution of office mail
  • Maintaining office stationery supplies
  • Wage reports on a fortnightly basis
  • General Office Management
    • Petty cash
    • Ordering uniforms
    • Banking and receipting cheques & cash payments
    • Distribute daily mail and deliveries
  • Arranging sales of miscellaneous goods
  • Conducting research when requested
  • Preparation of documents for meetings/presentations
  • Administrative support for CEO and executive team (booking of travel, printing / photocopying, organising meetings, etc)

    Customer Service

  • Responding to queries received via the Cucina Classica Website
  • Responsible for the end to end management of quality complaints (received through stores directly or directly from consumers)
    • Includes liaising with Q.A./Q.C. to fully understand quality complaint
    • Investigation of the complaint
    • Procedural documentation of the quality complaint
    • Issuing of credits, and process management through established system
    • Monthly reporting and insight generation around quality management.

      Marketing and Sales

  • Assist the sales and marketing team to develop collateral for use with our external customers.
  • Representing and acting as Cucina Classica brand ambassador in a variety of food events and sponsorship opportunities
  • Entering of sales orders received via telephone or fax
  • Assisting National Sales Manager at external events (e.g Trade Expo's)
  • Report generation on a weekly / monthly basis.

    Experiences and demonstrated skill set:

  • Previous experience in an administrative / executive assistant type role
  • Knowledge with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
  • High standard of general computer literacy
  • Strong work ethic and supportive nature
  • Friendly and energetic nature who enjoys working in a team environment
  • Follows instructions and uses initiative to add value
  • High standard of professional presentation
  • Ability to work unsupervised, multi task and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and in writing
