The role

The Faculty of Science, Engineering and Built are proud of their innovative lecturers who develop teaching models specific to architecture and construction management learning. There are two full time, on going roles and will be located at the Waterfront Campus in Geelong.

Reporting to the Head of School, the Lecturer / Senior Lecturer will undertake research and teaching in the area of architectural design and maintain links and partnerships with relevant academic, industry and professional communities.

To be successful, you’ll have:

  • PhD and minimum of 5 years of teaching experience at the Senior Lecturer level
  • demonstrated capacity to lead teaching teams in the area of architectural design
  • experience in developing curricula and resources that reflect an understanding of architectural design and digital communication
  • successful record of research and publication in an area aligned with the school focus on “Integral Design Futures”
  • ability to contribute to the development and maintenance of partnerships with professional associations, the architecture design sector, and with domestic educational institutions and industry

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Make a significant contribution to research projects, including internal and external collaboration to create new insights and opportunities
  • Contribute in the successful development of research programs and partnerships
  • Strong experience in learning and teaching across all levels and modes (including for example in the cloud)
  • Contribute in the development of course and unit curriculum that meets external requirements such as the Higher Education Standards Framework and professional accreditation
  • designing and implementing best practice assessment and evidence of student learning outcomes at Unit and Course level
