Seeking: Cane Cutters Bistro & Function Supervisor  Maroochy River Golf Club

Maroochy River is the one of the most popular destinations on the Sunshine Coast for golf, functions and lunches with the iconic Mt Coolum as a spectacular background. 

With a multi million dollar mini golf venue under construction by Mini Golf Creations, which will be a  feature of the Sunshine Coast Tourism Venues, and future golf course expansions, this is an exciting position for a professional hospitality person to grow with the business over the next 10-15 years, with the opportunity for future advancement that will evolve as the clubs strategic plan evolves.

Maroochy River boasts a modern clubhouse which operates the Cane Cutters Bar and Bistro facilities and functions internally. The Cane Cutters Team host Members events, Golf Australia & Golf Queensland events weddings, conferences and dinners as well as 7 day a week lunches. The club operates Thursday & Friday nights for dinners, and Saturday to Wednesday nights for functions as required.

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced, passionate & proactive Bistro & Functions Supervisor Professional to join the Cane Cutters F&B team.

The position requires a complete hands on approach over a 7 day rotation roster.

Skills required are;

1. Operating the IVvy Functions Platform with a high degree of accuracy & efficiency.

2. Ability to lead a team from the front & co-ordinate with the head chef & bar manager.

3. The ability to train other team members on the job to meet the clubs S.O.P in looking after members needs and visitors requirements.

4. Barista skills for peak periods.

5. Set & Supervise Functions including meeting clients to formulate quality outcomes before, in the lead up to and after functions.

6. Roster to a budget utilising the skills of team members to provide a consistent product to all members of the MRGC, visitors & guests.

Reporting to the Head Chef & Bar Manager, the successful applicant will be required to have a minimum 2 year's experience, excellent customer service skills with a friendly can do attitude, work in a team environment and have the flexibility to handle changing customer needs.  Barista experience essential. The successful applicant will be required to assume the F.O.H Supervisors duties after a 3 month probation period.

The position is on a permanent part time basis and will require a minimum of 32 hours per week, growing to full time salary position for the right person, with the completion of the Mini Golf Construction due for completion in early to mid 2019.

The successful applicant is required to have current RSA & RSG certificates.

The starting position for this P.P.T role are under the  Club Awards Descriptions-MA000058-Level 3 F&B & Gaming Attendant. After probation, a salary will be discussed based on the persons skills for the full time position.

Interviews will commence on Tuesday January 8 2019, and conclude on Friday 12 January 2019 with an immediate start required within 2 weeks of the letter of offer.
