About the Team and the Role

The National Training Centre (NTC) for girls is part of the Elite Development Pathway for female players in WA. It is a player centred program established by FFA in conjunction with each Member Federation to assist talented young female players with their football development.

This role reports to the Football West Technical Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering 3-4 training sessions and 1 game per week for the Girls U19s NTC program with assistance from the Assistant Coach.

This role is a part time fixed term position with an average of 8 working hours a week from January 2019 30 October 2019. Training evenings are Monday/Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday while games are usually held Sunday afternoons. The successful candidate would need to be available during this time period.

Job tasks and responsibilities:

This role is responsible for but not limited to:

  • Talent Identification Observing female league fixtures and conducting trials to identify talent players;
  • Player Development - Actively assisting players in their individual technical, tactical, physical and mental development;
  • Program Delivery Plan, organise and deliver the NTC training program based on the FFA National Curriculum and deliver all game day activities in conjunction with the Technical Manager; and
  • Reporting Providing regular updates and end of program review to the Football Technical Manager.

Skills and experience

  • Minimum of a valid FFA B Licence;
  • Experience working with talented players and motivating teams;
  • Strong working knowledge of the FFA National Curriculum;
  • Ability to plan, organise and deliver effective training sessions; and
  • Strong communication skills.


A person must be eligible to work in Australia in order to be employed by Football West and must also provide:

  • Eligibility to work in Australia;
  • A current Working with Children check; and
  • A current Drivers Licence
