Purpose of the role

The Finance Systems team plays a critical role in supporting the firm to most efficiently and effectively use financial systems software.

The E-Billing Co-ordinator will manage the various aspects of the matter management and electronic billing function, working with team members across Financial Services, legal support and operations teams to ensure that all phases of the E-Billing lifecycle are managed in a timely and efficient manner.

Job description

Core duties and responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Co-ordinate new E-Billing platform set up, including liaising with legal teams, vendors, support and systems analysts and training team members
  • Co-ordinate development of training material and training provision with our Training team
  • Assist with loading of electronic invoice files and other system support processes
  • Make a strong contribution to process improvement in all areas of E-Billing, including development of process documentation
  • Assist the Systems Analysts with identifying, reproducing and escalating issues to second level support
  • Learn and adhere to our best practice service management processes
  • Produce status reporting
  • Involvement in system testing and assist with co-ordinating user testing efforts for ongoing system improvements
  • Improve and maintain documentation of business processes

More about you

On your first day, we expect you to have:

  • Experience within a law firm and working knowledge of Practice Management systems (Elite or Aderant Expert), would be highly regarded
  • 5+ years' functional business experience, demonstrating a good working knowledge of either Billing or Credit processes
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills
  • Aptitude and desire to learn new systems and concepts
  • Ability to effectively manage competing deadlines and to lead, escalate and communicate any issues in a timely fashion
  • Strong analytical and investigative skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent relationship building skills with a highly collaborative approach

Bonus points for someone who has:

  • Legal industry or professional services experience
  • Experience with Elite 3e
