We seek an experienced Accounting Manager to join our busy commercial litigation practice on a full time basis. Experience is required, with negotiable salary commensurate with experience.

The role includes:-

  • Accounts Payable / Receivable;

  • Payroll / PAYG / Payroll Tax and Superannuation;

  • Preparing and lodging quarterly BAS Statements;

  • Trust Accounting and Compliance;

  • Processing and distributing cheques;

  • Processing write offs, journals and trust to office transfers and receipt requisitions;

  • Bank Reconciliation and End of Month;

  • Billing;

  • Processing general ledger invoices;

  • Provision of Financial Reports;

  • Sorting internal accounts;

  • Petty cash reconciliation;

  • Maintaining office equipment and ordering stationery;

  • Relief reception and general administrative duties.

The successful candidate will:

  • have previous experience in a similar role within a law firm;

  • preferably have previous experience with Leap Legal Software;

  • possess exceptional grammatical and written skills;

  • have advanced interpersonal and communication skills;

  • be able to work with minimal supervision;

  • have a proactive attitude;

  • have a high level of communication skills (both written and verbal);

  • have excellent organisation and time management skills;

  • have a professional and courteous phone manner;

  • have the ability to work under pressure;

  • have the ability to work autonomously, take direction and work as part of a team.

    Our office is conveniently located in Collins Street, near Southern Cross Station, Melbourne.
