Our Client

Our client is an energy, utility and metering company with a strong reputation in Western Australia. For over 20 years they have provided commercial property metering services; supplying detailed analysis of usage, giving their clients critical information on energy consumption and cost recovery.

Traditional market structures are changing with advancement in technologies which means Smart meters are essential for power management and are critical to the future of energy in Australia. This company is at the forefront of unlocking the opportunities across traditional industries as the market experiences changing load bases, renewables and storage. In line with business growth they currently are seeking to employ an experienced Account Executive.

The Position

This person will be key in developing new business through the existing client base whilst also driving new business from major prospects. Reporting to the Business Development Manager this person will be responsible for:

  • Identifying, developing and converting new business within new metering and upgrade projects; commercial, retail and large strata properties
  • Identify and develop revenue streams for additional product and service offerings
  • Engaging with consultant/end user to spec in metering prior to construction projects
  • Develop accounts and existing service level agreements with current clients
  • Negotiating metering supply and pricing from manufacturers
  • Keeping  up  to  date  with  new  products  and  services  and  educating  customers accordingly

The Requirements

To be successful in this position you will demonstrate the following:

  • Presentable with excellent interpersonal skills and able to present to clients at a high level.
  • Electricity/Utilities experience with a technical knowledge of energy/utilities; metering capabilities, solar/batteries.
  • Proven B2B sales experience and track record of achieving set targets
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to convert new business
  • Understanding of embedded networks within the retail, commercial office, strata property sectors preferred
  • Current C-Class Drivers License with own vehicle
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships at senior level with direct and in-direct customers
  • Tertiary qualification or Certificate in Sales, Business, and/or Marketing advantageous
